It has a black plastic frame and the front has 9 square panels that light up when music plays; you can choose from 5 different lighting patterns or you can turn off the lights. The sides of the speaker are solid colors and do not light up. The speaker grille is on top of the cube, and the control buttons are directly on the opposite side.
